Waste To Landfill
This is where sustainability starts on set. Mammoth Film Studio runs on certified green energy and operates with zero landfill output. From energy logging and LED lighting to ethical suppliers and paperless systems, every department is built with low-impact production in mind. Our alignment with BFI Sustainability Guidelines and Albert principles ensures your shoot meets today’s environmental expectations — with the data to prove it.

Our End-to-End Sustainable Approach

Powered by 100 Percent Renewable Energy
The electricity that powers Mammoth Film Studio comes entirely from certified renewable sources, including wind, solar and hydropower. We use Ofgem approved suppliers and REGO certified tariffs.
Every shoot has its energy usage recorded and logged for transparency. This supports corporate sustainability audits, helps with carbon budgeting, and allows teams to report on Scope 2 emissions with ease.

Zero Landfill Waste and Full Recycling Accreditation
No waste generated at our studio goes to landfill. All rubbish is either composted or recycled through accredited waste partners in line with WRAP UK and Environmental Agency guidance.
We provide a clear bin system, supported by site wide signage. Only recyclable or compostable materials are permitted. Our waste management partners are certified to handle and report waste responsibly.
This gives productions full traceability for audit trails and aligns with Albert and industry best practice.

Elimination of Single Use Plastics
We have removed single use plastics wherever possible, following DEFRA guidance and studio wide initiatives.
-
Catering packaging is recyclable or compostable by default.
-
Reusable coffee cups are available and encouraged.
-
Plastic straws have been phased out and replaced by filtered water stations across the site.
These systems help productions meet internal sustainability policies and industry plastic reduction pledges.
-

Paperless Workflows and Sustainable Admin
We prioritise paperless systems across our production office and crew areas.
-
Project management and scheduling are handled through digital platforms.
-
Essential documents are printed on recycled paper only.
-
Files are managed using encrypted cloud based tools that support GDPR compliance.
This helps production teams stay efficient while cutting down on paper waste.
-

Reusable Sets and Responsible Scenic Design
We maintain an on site stock of reusable scenic flats that productions can rent. This reduces demand for one off builds.
-
Shared resources lower material use and carbon output.
-
Reuse reduces landfill waste and offers cost savings for set designers.
Our approach reflects the guidance of the BFI Sustainable Production Handbook.
-

Local Suppliers and Sustainable Catering
We work with preferred suppliers that align with our green values and support the local economy.
-
Our partners use compostable packaging and deliver via low emission transport.
-
Food is sourced with a focus on ethics, low carbon impact and reduced delivery mileage.
This aligns with ESG frameworks and responsible procurement models used across the film industry.
-

Green Travel, Public Transport and Cycling Access
Mammoth Film Studio is designed with sustainable commuting in mind.
-
Located close to public transport, including the tube, bus and rail lines.
-
Bicycle racks are available on site for crew and clients.
-
On site parking is available, but we encourage lower emission travel through policy and communication.
Productions benefit from reduced travel emissions and easier reporting for offset initiatives.
-

Community Support and Food Donation
We contribute to our local community by donating surplus food from productions to homelessness support charities.
-
This reduces food waste and supports social sustainability.
-
Our partnerships help connect unused food with people who need it.
This initiative adds measurable social value to production outcomes.
-

Partner with a Studio That Shares Your Green Values
We are committed to helping you produce responsibly.
-
Tailored sustainability support is available for every shoot.
-
Transparent data is provided for energy use, waste and materials.
